Rules

  1. To invite new members to the Club send an email to the Founders stating the email address and a short introduction of the invitee.
  2. New members must fill in their profile (first and last names minimum).
  3. Flames (as defined below) are forbidden.
  4. Personal correspondence (as defined below) is forbidden.

Penalties for breaking the rules

  1. A member gets a warning for each instance of breaking the Rules.
  2. After the 3rd warning the member may get a request from the Founders to post through Founders (as defined below) for a month. If the member does not break the Rules during this period, the member is free to post directly to the board. While posting through Founders, a member must comply with all the rules.
  3. If the member breaks the Rules again and gets the 4th warning, this member is required to post through Founders forever. While posting through the Founders, a member must comply with all the rules.
  4. If a member does not comply with previous penalties, the simple majority of the Founders could delete the offending member from the Club.

Definitions

Flame: a personal offense to any of the members of the Club as judged by the Founders; an emotional, often a personal attack on another person's posting. "I disagree with your statement because of X" is not a flame, whereas "I disagree with your moronic statement and the fact that you would say such a thing proves you're a complete idiot" is.

Personal correspondence: an email exchange between two people that is of no interest to anybody else in the Club as judged by the Founders.

Posting through Founders: a posting is first sent to the Founders. Upon their approval, the Founders post the message to the Club’s board. Changes to the message, if any, will be made only with the posting member’s approval.
