Pear Salsa Recipe from: The Vancouver Sun, 21 Sep 1994 Servings: 5 cups 2 Tbsp Vegetable oil 1 Med Onion, chopped 1 Green pepper, chopped fine 1 Lg Garlic clove, chopped fine 2 Tbsp Finely chopped parsley 1 Tbsp Lemon juice 1/2 Tsp Salt 1 Tbsp Chopped fresh oregano, or 1 tsp dried oregano 1 tbsp Chopped fresh basil, or 1 tsp dried basil 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce 2 med Tomatoes, seeded and chopped coarse 2 To 3 pears, peeled and chopped Heat oil in medium frypan. Saute onion until tender, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add green pepper, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, salt, oregano, basil and Tobasco sauce; cook 2 minutes. Remove frypan from heat and stir in tomatoes and pears. Cover and refrigerate.
