Brian Lewis JinHo Levine

This page is a little corner of the web for Brian, our new adoptive son.

3/17/06 We have lift off...

A Crate full of toys, and a dertermined boy...

Being a big, strong, curious fellow, Brian has quickly discovered that he can pull himself up, and get at  the toys in the crate in his
"safe" play area.  He took about five minutes to hook his arms over the edge of the create, slowly inch up to it, and then...

Brian and toys

Up he goes... Now then. This one looks interesting....

Yes, Yes, this one...

Look, Dad, Stop with the Camera, I'm trying to do something here...
Look at the guy with the flashing box...

3/3/06 Two kids, two grins, wow!

 2/24/06:
A happy boy, in the hotel in Seoul

2/24/06 -- Brian in our hotel room in Seoul...

For those who are detail focused:

Brian was born in Busan Korea, on August 13, 2005. (So he's six and a half months old, as I type) He was a healthy 7 lbs, and had grown like mad to be a very respectable 20 lbs.  He's in the 90th percentile for both height and weight, so, big, and only slightly chubby.

I've started building a nice set of pages for the trip, but it's going to take a while. So, click HERE to goto the new page. The old content is below for now.

On Friday morning, we got in a little more exploring...

Every once in a while, you get reminded that Korea is a very different place...
Peanut butter squid...

We also got a chance to buy Samantha a Hanbok, which is the traditional Korean dress, she'll get to wear it for his first
Birthday. (And since people have asked, this is at the Korean Folk Village, which recreates traditional Korean village life. They
had a great shop, and spoke pretty good english, and we knew we wanted Samantha to have the Hanbok, so...

And then it was on to the agency...

So, now we were all together. Of course, we were also 7000 miles from home... So...
Seoul Inchon Airport
It's off to the airport. South Korea's just opened up Seoul Inchon airport, which is briight and shiny, and very much the modern airport.
Why is could be anywhere, until you notice the Korean on the lugage carts.

We schlepped Seoul-Tokyo-New York, but American Airlines was wonderful and had blocked out a bulkhead row with a basinet for
the long haul segment from Tokyo . Brian happily slept most of the way. and then....
Home, with a dolphin...
Home! With a dolphin to play with.

Pictures at home...

Well, I'm busy editing up a more complete set of pages for the trip, but Brian keeps doing fun things, so here's a few
pictures, while I try and catch up...
Solid Food is oh so yummy!
Boy, that solid food is oh so Yummy!

Look at me, I can fold myself up like a pretzel!
What infants can do with their joints is impressive. I don't bend that way. Yes, He's propping the bottle up with his leg.  He actually
seems to like this position, I've caught him doing it several times. This time, I was sitting with the camera nearby, so I could put down the laptop and
catch him at it.
