Bicycles
- Ebikes.org
Ebikes is primarily an internet mailing list about bicycling in and around the New York City region, but the Web site provides an excellent resource for New York City bicyclists.
Subway
- Abandoned Subway Stations
- Disused or Unused Underground Railway Stations of the New York Area
A complete inventory of existing underground stations in the New York area that are not in use. It includes parts of stations not in use, if they are large areas like whole platforms or levels, but not small areas like individual entrances or passageways (nor faces of platforms).
- Disused Elevated Railway Stations of the New York Area
A companion to the list of Abandoned Subway Stations. It cannot hope to list all remnants of above-ground stations, but here is at least a listing of the closed elevated rapid transit stations that still exist.
- MetroCard
Contains the text and illustrations of The New York City Transit Authority's handout, available at token booths at MetroCard stations, of the same title. Though unauthorized, Esoteric Resources has attempted to present the text as written, only adding to it in order to be clear when listing specific MetroCard stations in Manhattan.
- MetroCard Conditions of Use
The complete and unaltered text of the New York City Transit Authority handout of the same title, theoretically available at all token booths at all MetroCard stations, but in practice, seldom seen.

- The Shore Line Trolley Museum Information Page
The museum, located in New Haven, CT, operates on the original Connecticut Company route to Branford, abandonned in 1945. The museum has operated the line since then, making it the oldest continually run suburban transit line in the country. The mile and a half line traverses a variety of terrain, including woods, meadow, and waterfowl bedecked salt marshes. From some vantage points, Shore Line's route appears as if it were still operating in the 1930's.
