JV III Home Page

This is a home page for Jim Jenkins and the business, JV III.

While the majority of my time is spent in New York City in scenic and props work for film and video, I'm also interested in this expanding on-line world. So much so, that I've developed a few web oriented projects, most of which can be traveled to from here.

The NYC Film Production Resource Locator continues to be my most ambitious effort on the web so far. It's an ongoing project geared toward film production and online networking within the local NYC community. I hope it will develop into a useful utility, and can eventually become a full-blown garden of resources.

My scenic work now has the support of a new shop/storage facility!

The JV III Shop @ Keystone is a small facility for preparitory construction work... before jobs move to locations or onto stages. Aside from support for JV III projects, the shop is available as a rental space to other designers and craftspeople.

I've created a small gallery of images from past projects. These can be found as a part of a small Jim Jenkins/JV III bio page.

My background and interests are in both film and scenery production, but I also see my future being very influenced by the web. I have written a few pages related to both film production and scenery design and production as they may be changed by this emerging info environment.

There's also a page about some work I've done using AutoCAD for Scenery. I've included drawing samples from a few projects to give an idea of how computer tools can have an effect on the design process itself.

I also want to pay a little homage and point to the pages of a fellow Long Island City netizen and neon wizard, Kenny Greenberg, whose art gopher, and web pages were an inspiration for me to start to develop a few pages of my own.
