- Routing - Panix will allocate a range of IP addresses for your network. If you have your own independant IP space, or a subnet from another provider, we can route that instead. Multihoming and other advanced configurations are also possible, sometimes at additional cost.
- 24-hour monitoring - All Panix customer circuits are monitored 24x7. In the event of an outage, our engineers are immediately notified, and will begin working to restore your service right away.
- Domain Name Service - Panix will provide primary or secondary DNS (domain name service) for up to 16 domains at no charge. Name service for additional domains is available; see Leased-Line Add-Ons.
- Newsfeed - Panix will supply an optional newsfeed for USENET newsgroups of your choice, at no extra charge. This requires a working NNTP server on your network.
- Complimentary single-user account with PPP and shell access to Panix, for administrative use.
- One-year contract - The minimum term for this service is one year.

T3 costs have two components - a charge for the physical line (known as the "local loop") which connects you to us, and a charge for the bandwidth that you want to use on the line (which can range from 3 Mbps to 45 Mbps). The bandwidth fees are listed above.
The local loop is usually delivered by the phone company, but some locations are also served by other carriers (such as Time Warner or Level3). Other carriers are usually cheaper than the phone company, and easier to deal with as well.
For most locations in Manhattan, local loop prices will vary from $800 to $2000 monthly. Unless your building is served by alternate carriers, expect a minimum of $1500. Locations outside Manhattan are usually more expensive.
