This is a paper I did in the spring of 2004 for a class on Knowledge Management Systems in NYU's School of Professional & Continuing Studies, as part of my work towards an MS in Management and Systems. (My very first paper towards the degree, as it so happens.) It examines the prospects for a KMS designed for system administration and data center administration, covering technical design, human factors, and budgeting. It is suggested that the reader already have some familiarity with KMS concepts.
