Thanks for your review of Powers. I became a huge Bendis fan after reading Fortune and Glory, Jinx, Fire and Goldfish and while I enjoyed the first few issues of Powers, I was very disappointed by the ending and subsequent issues/story arcs and have since dropped it and every other Bendis book I was reading, including Ultimate Spider-Man, for the very same reasons. Despite liking his earlier work, I think Bendis is a hugely overrated writer and am continually baffled as to what readers find so compelling about his superhero work.
