Contributors are encouraged to submit works that have not traditionally been considered representative of their Vietnamese American identity (i.e., works need not be war-related).This publication will be a celebration of the diversity and range of writing and visual arts within the Vietnamese American community, placing emphasis on craft over topic, and thereby providing a more comprehensive view of Vietnamese American literature, visual art, and identity.
Guidelines for submissions to Watermark are as follows:
Watermark will continue the Asian American Writers' Workshop series, which began in 1996 with the publication of Flippin': Filipinos in America; Contours of the Heart: South Asians Map North America; and Quiet Fire: A Historical Anthology of Asian American Poetry.
