"Letter to My Father"

Dear father:

Do you remember? Five years ago, we were having dinner at Uncle Chi's house
during Chinese New Year. When we went back home, you yelled at me,

"Why weren't you listen to my word? You don't disobey me!"

"Pop, I am not a kid. I don't listen to every word you say, especially when your
words were nonsense!"

"I am the king of my house! You live with my money! You can't disobey me!"

"Fuck you, and stop these bullshitting, I have my own right in this house!"

You were agitated by my word and grabbed a paddle. You smacked me and knocked my
down on the floor. You started beating me with the paddle and was all over my
body. I didn't cry the whole time because I stood for what I believe. I kept
silent. My silence made you even angrier. You slapped my face. My mouth was
bleeding. I glowered at you. You picked up the paddle and hit my head; I
fainted.

After all, I woke up and I was in the hospital. When Ivan saw me laying down on
the floor in the empty house, he called the ambulance.

You didn't come to see me nor I wished you to be there. I hated you so much.
There will be always a perpetual scar between our relationship.
