Launched in the beginning of 1996 with Peeling the Banana,a performance writing workshop for Asian American men and women that culminated in shows at the AAWW and the Joseph Papp Public Theater, the AAWW Performance Series focuses on both the creation and presentation of new performance pieces, as well as play development, with writing workshops and staged readings as well as public performances of work by new and emerging artists.
