The Asian American Writers' Workshop Booksellers is the largest and most comprehensive bookstore in the world focused on Asian American literature as well as literary and historical criticism. With our extensive collection of fiction, anthologies, poetry, criticism, nonfiction, music, magazines, childrens’ and young adults’ literature, and college textbooks, readers can find nearly any title. They can purchase in-store, through mail order, or on our Web site.
Starting with just over 200 titles, the Bookseller has now established a comprehensive collection that is curated and staffed by experienced, knowledgeable personnel. We now house over one thousand titles, and provide textbook support to City University, Columbia University, and New York University. We are generally known within academic and community circles as the place to find popular, rare, out-of-print, and small-press Asian American titles. By also stocking self-published materials (including ’zines and self-produced compact discs) the Bookseller provides Asian American artists working in other creative fields a marketplace for their works.

While The Asian American Booksellers is only one part of our four divisions, it provides a significant source of income for The Asian American Writers' Workshop. A percentage of profits from each book helps to fund the many other AAWW programs.
