he Asian American Writers' Workshop is a New York City-based non-profit organization, dedicated to the creation, publication, and distribution of Asian American arts and literature...

In other words, we are here to bring the best of Asian American art and literature to YOU. From our roots as a small fish bookstore and the first APA Journal (in 1992) to our recent support of "Peeling the Banana" and our new books, we've come a long way. Please continue with this web-page tour to see more of what we have to offer you.

We are composed mainly of the following elements:

the Asian American Bookseller

our Publications: the APA Journal, Ten (formerly known as explanASIAN), and a number of books.

our Programs: a national writing workshop and reading series, locally held (New York City area) writing workshops and public readings, in-store gallery, and performance series.

Member Services: discounts, newsletters, workshops, and more!

If you ever have any questions of comments concerning any of these divisions, feel free to e-mail us at aaww@panix.com.
