This knife was my grandfather's. My dad had it in his tool box for
years and he gave it to me to fix up. I put my two favorite kind of
blades in it, a spey blade and a sheepsfoot blade. I made the blades
out of 1095 from Brownell's.
The red bone handle slabs, from Texas Knifemaker's Supply, are pinned
down with baling wire a friend gave me. The other three pins are 3/32"
W1 drill rod.
The original bolsters and liners are iron so I made a point of not
adding any copper alloys (like brass or nickel-silver) to the old
"depression era" knife. :-)
