Mandelbrot and Julia Set explorer.

"It seems that nobody is indifferent to fractals. In fact, many view thier first encounter with fractal geometry as a totally new experience from the viewpoints of aesthetics as well as science."
Benoit B. Mandelbrot, The Beauty of Fractals

This applet allows you to to make infinite (limited by the floating precision of your harware) zooms into any point of the set. I hope it will help you appreciate the infinite beauty of fractals.
Note that as you zoom in many patterns repeat and complexity of a produced picture always stays the same.
The final picture is produced after four passes. You do not have to wait for completion of picture in order to zoom in. In other words, you may click at the point where you want to zoom in or zoom out at any time.

Ready? Click "Mandelbrot" button and enjoy!

Version 2.0 of Mandelbrot explorer is in the works. It will be faster, more interactive and will give those who are interested in experimenting with fractals a possibility to control many parameters of the algorithm. It might also include other fractal algorithms.
