Avery's 1999 North American Voyage

Announcements:

• 9/1 -- *Wheew!* I've arrived back in New England, And have much to record, but there is a lot I have to take care of before I grab the liesure to update. I hope to have the penultimate update online by the 5th of September. I also hope that I can get a guest book up by that time as well.
• 8/21 -- I expect to be back in NYC on the 30th of August, just so you all know.
• 8/11 -- I'm leaving LA tomorrow. That is all.

This is were I will be posting photos and commentary of my North American cross country drive June - August 1999. To start with, here's the team:

That's a 1986 Saab 900 Turbo that I just picked up. It's got a completely rebuilt engine, transmission, steering, and brakes. I reckon it should take me around in pretty good style. Actually, to be honest, I'm already quite addicted to that turbo. Mmmmm, turbo...

And here's the plan: I set out from the East coast (NYC), and loop around North America, doing some particularly juicy zig-zaging around the West Coast area, since I've never been west of the Rockies before. I'll take from June till September 1st to do this. My car's pretty loaded, so the aforementioned turbo's gonna be pretty much making up for lots of weight.
