Servings: 2½ cups
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup
1 cup chili sauce
¾ cup honey
¾ cup Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey
¼ cup fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 chipotle chili pepper in adobo sauce, finely chopped
1 teaspoon ground coriander
½ teaspoon celery salt
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
1½ teaspoon liquid smoke
Heat oil in medium saucepan. Add onion and garlic and cook 5 to 6 minutes or until onions are tender. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer about 30 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
