Russian Hamburger

Servings: 4

1 pound hamburger
1 tablespoon chopped onion
2 tablespoons fat
½ cup cooked beets, finely chopped, drained
1 tablespoon grated horseradish
1 teaspoon salt

Stir and cook hamburger and onion in the fat until lightly cooked but not brown. Stir in the beets, horseradish; and salt. Simmer until mixture is semisoft.

Serve with potato cakes or French bread.
