1 ½ pound ground beef
water
salt and pepper to taste
8 steamed hot dog rolls
mustard
dill pickle chips
Shape ground beef into flat 1 by 2 by 6 inch rectangles, approximately the size of the hot dog buns. (Allow for slight shrinkage during cooking.)
Place the beef rolls in a flat, shallow pan and barely cover them with water. Salt and pepper to taste and bring to a boil. Simmer, uncovered, at least 40 minutes. Serve on steamed rolls with mustard and pickle chips.
