½ bell pepper, diced
½ onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon fresh rosemary sprigs, chopped
1 ½ pounds ground beef
½ cup bread crumbs
½ cup kasseri or fontina cheese crumbles
Pre-heat grill to medium heat.
Sautee bell pepper, onion, garlic and rosemary, until peppers soften.
Combine sauteed vegetables with ground beef. Add egg, bread crumbs and cheese; mix well.
Form into 5-6 generous burger patties. Grill patties, uncovered, over medium heat, turning occasionally, to medium doneness (160°F internal temperature). Check for doneness with an instant read thermometer or cook until juices run clear and there is no pink left in the center of the patties.
