Another Chili Con Carne

Servings: 4

1 pound ground beef
½ pound sausage meat
2 onions, chopped
5 cloves garlic, sliced thinnly
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 beef boullion cubes, crushed
4 hot pepper rings 1
dash Louisianna hot sauce, or other hot sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon oregano
⅛ teaspoon ground cumin
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 28 ounce crushed tomatoes
1 14 ounce red kidney beans

Combine sausage meat, ground beef, onions and garlic in skillet and brown. Place all ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low to medium for 6 to 8 hours, stirring and tasting occasionally. As the flavours meld you may want to add more hot sauce and/or cayenne pepper to suit your tast. My wife doesn''t like food as spicy as I do so we try to come to a happy medium as it is cooked.

1 I use the same type of hot pepper rings you normally get for your sausage on a bun at varous street venders.
