Recipe from: Adapted from an article in the Saturday Evening Post in 1963.
½ pound ground beef suet
2 pound diced or coarsley ground beef
3 garlic cloves
1 ½ tablespoon paprika
3 tablespoon chili powder, or 3 diced chili pepper pods
1 tablespoon cumin seed
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 ½ tablespoon sweet pepper, diced
3 cups water
Fry out the suet in a heavy kettle, then add meat, garlic and other seasonings. Cook under cover slowly for four hours, stirring occasionally. Then add water and cook for 1 more hour.
