Close your eyes and, if your taste buds have such a memory, think of the sweet, tender butter-drenched meat of the blue crab.
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup green and red bell peppers, chopped
1 cup light cream
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
1 cup bread crumbs
Melt butter in pan and sauté peppers until soft. Add cream and seasonings and cook until thickened. Gently mix in the crab meat and bread crumbs. Transfer to a buttered casserole dish and bake at 325°F 10 to 15 minutes or until heated through.
