Crab a la King from The Pirate's House

Recipe from: Based on a recipe in The Pirate's House Cook Book by Frances McGrath
Servings: 8 to 10

8 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon table salt
⅛ to ¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 quart whole sweet milk or half & half
¼ cup chopped green pepper
¼ cup chopped pimientos
1 or 2 tablespoon butter
juice and rind of 1 fresh lemon
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
l ¼ pounds coooked crab meat

Combine flour, salt and pepper and mix into a paste with part of milk. Add peppers and pimientos to balance of milk and cook 5 minutes over a low heat. Add flour paste and stir constantly until thickened. Add butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and crab meat. Simmer gently until hot.
