From my Rival cookbook. I would serve this over rice and pass the cornbread.
2 pounds pork, cut in 1 inch cubes
1 pounds beef, cut in 1 inch cubes
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
4 ounce can green chilies, drained and chopped
⅓ cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon ground cumin
2 whole cloves
½ cup beef broth
Combine all ingredients in crock pot; stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Taste for seasoning before serving.
