Tonjiru (Pork Miso Soup) 豚汁

Servings: 4

There are two types of Miso soup—Normal Miso soup and this Tonjiru (Pork Miso Soup). It is a really easy to cook hot soup. Japanese people really love to eat it in the winter. Please try in winter!

⅓ radish
about 2 ounces carrot
½ burdock
½ pound pork
1 cup water
1 small tablespoon dashi
1 big tablespoon miso

Cut the radish, carrots, and burdock, and put them into the water. Cut the pork to small pieces. Add the pork and dashi to the vegetables and water. Cook until vegetable and meat are soft. Stir in the miso and its done!
