Careys Steak Sauce

Recipe from: pdxbodyworx
Servings: About 50

This is a very easy recipe to make and yet tastes out of this world. You may decide to adjust things to your liking. I believe this is much better than alot of recipes you'll find out there and it taste similar but better than like a Lea and Perrins sauce.

2 cups ketchup
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 small onion, minced
¼ cup lemon juice
½ cup water
½ cup Worceshire sauce
¼ cup vinegar — may use balsamic vinegar
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup packed brown sugar, or more depending on preference
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup Jack Daniels, or other whiskey/bourbon

Combine all ingredients in small sauce pan, bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 30 to 40 minutes. Taste, and adjust ingredients to your liking if necessary. Place entire amount into a blender and purée. Cover and refrigerate 2 or more hours, preferrably over night.
