New Mexico Style Red Chile Sauce

My mom used this recipe for over 70 years, she loved to cook for family, and friends.

1 pound red chili pepper pods
2 tablespoons salt
3 garlic cloves

Bring to boil chile pods, cook 2 minutes, and simmer 3 minutes. Drain water, put in blender, and add garlic, and salt. To that add 4 cups of water or to cover 2 inches above the pods. Blend for a full 2½ minutes. Sift to remove the sauces. Will keep in refrigerater for 7 days.
