Mexican Steak

Recipe from: Cindy

My family has been making this wonderful steak since this 33 yr old, married, mother of a beautiful 3 yr old daughter was a little girl herself. It's one of the things we looked forward to most when summer came...Hope lots of you try it and enjoy it..

1 3 to 4 pound family steak (or any thicker cut flat steak)
¾ cup orange juice
¾ cup tomato juice (a V8 style juice works great, too)
6 tablespoons lime juice
6 tablespoons olive oil
3 teaspoons paprika
3 teaspoons ground cumin
3 teaspoons oregano
1 ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
6 cloves chopped fresh garlic (or more if you're a "garlicaholic" like me)

Pierce meat on both sides with a fork. Combine the rest of the ingredients to make a marinade and pour over meat, reserving about ¾ cup. Refrigerate remaining marinade in a separate dish and marinate the steak overnight or longer. Grill over medium/high heat to desired doneness. You may baste the steak during cooking with the marinade you soaked it in. Slice in very thin slices across, not with, the grain and drizzle the marinade that you reserved (the one the meat WASN'T soaked in) over the sliced meat if desired for an extra bit of spiciness and flavor. I swear, it's absolutely fantastic!
