Roasted chile paste, or nam prik pow is one of Thailand's most common staple food items, and we're certain you'll enjoy this distinctive recipe.
½ pound squid cut in bite-sized pieces
½ onion - hua hom chopped
4, ½ inch long pieces of green onions
1 teaspoon nam prik pow
1 teaspoon thin soy sauce
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Heat oil in a wok. Add squid and onion together. The squid cooks very quickly and becomes rubbery if overcooked. You may prefer to lift the wok from the stove to stir in the squid. sauté until cooked. Add chili paste, soy sauce, green onion and stir fry.
