whole pineapple (canned pineapple can also be used)
1 pound sugar
6 teaspoons water
2 to 3 tablespoons lime juice
Cut pineapple into small pieces. Prepare the syrup by boiling sugar with 2 cups of water. Add pineapple to the syrup. Add lime juice as desired when the juice is boiling. Let cool and add 4 cups of water.
