Recipe from: U Can Cook Thai
1 can tuna in water
3 heads shallot
7 large cloves garlic cloves
5 phrik ki nu
3 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons soya sauce or nam pla
1 tablespoon palm sugar
Peel garlic and shallots, and coarsely chop chiles. Fry in a pan until fragrant and soft, then transfer to a motar and pound thoroughly.
Open the tun can, squeeze all the water out, and put the tuna in the motar. Pound until thoroughly mixed.
Mix the lime juice, soy sauce or nam pla, and palm sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Add the mixture to the tuna to taste. Transfer tuna to a bowl and serve with fresh vegetables such as carrots, lettuce, and cucumbers.
