  Automated Utility Meter Reading -- The system allows the meter reading personel to simply walk up to the read head, touch the Sensus Smart Gun, or the Schlumberger Probe to the head, click the trigger switch and the reading and unique meter ID are sent into the Newton PDA. The Newton contains the meter readers route data and the residents information is automatically loaded into the reading record to verify the correct resident, address and meter ID information. An audible tone is produced if the reading took place without any errors.
