  ProofRead is a text correction utility for the Newton. ProofRead 1.0 is the first application in a long line of products from Foundation Systems and third-party developers that will make editing text on the Newton faster and easier than ever before! ProofRead 1.0 comes pre-installed with a text search and replace function. Now you can search and replace text in any view that accepts text input! ProofRead is extensible, meaning one can choose which parts to install. Developers can take advantage of ProofRead's modular design to create custom text-editing extensions. While ProofRead only comes loaded with a search and replace function, be on the lookout for future extensions such as a spelling checker, a grep engine, or a grammar checker.
