The West Side Beat
The WSB is a biweekly newpaper catering to West Siders, with news and editorial commentary of importance & interest to all. Several guest columnists, including Mayor Giuliani himself write on timely subjects. Other columns are on food, the arts, theater, film and careers. Ads point readers to great restaurants, local stores. The WSB is distributed along the WSide in Gristedes, Sloans markets and delivered to many apartment house lobbies. Distribution is scheduled to increase shortly.
Union List of Selected West European Newspapers and News Magazines in New York Metropolitan Libraries
In order to improve access to important West European newspapers and news magazines (backfiles and current subscriptions) to researchers and scholars in the metropolitan region, the Task Force asked fifty libraries to report their holdings of selected titles in this area. Twenty-eight libraries were willing to co-operate in this survey and this list represents their holdings.
