Don't Mess with Mother Nature
New York City, Jan 1996 -- A local cadillac dealer came up with
a really silly advertizing campaign. Toward the end of December, they
started running ads on TV and radio to announce their silly promotion.
It went something like this:
Lease a car from us now, and if it snows
three inches or more on Sunday January 7th, your lease will be free!
Sunday January 7 1996 was the date of the "Blizzard of 1996" -- It dumped
a record two feet of snow on New York City!
