There's not much that I can say about God Said, "Ha!", the film version of Julia Sweeney's stage monologue about her and her brother's simultaneous bouts with cancer. As a monologue it's both hilarious (the routine about her wayward ovary had me doubled over in laughter) and compassionate, though not quite as moving as you would expect. As a director, Sweeney is no Demme but the camerawork doesn't distract from her material's strength. Worth seeing, at any rate, and far more honest about dealing with cancer than glossy crap like Stepmom.
