Grosse Fatigue (Michel Blanc)

Rating: 2.5

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think it's possible that I'll
enjoy the inevitable American remake of this film more than I enjoyed the
original. The reason for this heresy: it features a terrific conceit,
but it also features the Gallic sense of humor, with which I am
completely out of sync (there are, of course, a few exceptions, notably
DELICATESSEN). There are a lot of in-jokes about French cinema; those
who know who Gilles Jacob and Phillipe Noiret are will find it much
funnier than those who don't.
