Kids (Larry Clark)

Rating: 2.0

Disappointing. I was just as bored and repelled by these characters as I
would be were I to encounter them in real life, and since there's no plot
to speak of (the one narrative thread that exists is by far the worst
part of the movie), there's nothing to do but stare and wish yourself
elsewhere. The ending displays the kind of didactic, moralistic irony
that I thought had died out with Rod Serling. (Disclaimer: the
screenwriter was in my department at NYU, and I'm jealous that he got a
film made before I did.)
