Subject: Fwd: No notice of East Parcel FEIS!

Dear Sleepy Hollow Friends:

The East Parcel's "Final Environmental Impact Statement" was released on 3/28. No public notice was provided. This is a disgrace.

Please email Mayor Ken Wray and the Chair of the Local Development Corporation, David Schrodel and demand that the public comment period be extended to the end of April. Below is my email to them.

The FEIS is on the LDC section of the Village's website. See the "FEIS" links on the left side.

Thanks,

--Dan

Subject: No notice of East Parcel FEIS!

Dear Ken and David:

I, and many residents of Sleepy Hollow have been anticipating the release of the "Final Environmental Impact Statement" for the East Parcel by the Local Development Corporation.

I just learned from a friend of a friend that the FEIS was released on March 28. The document says public comments are due by April 10.

No announcement of such was made at the 3/28 or 4/4 Board of Trustee Meetings. Nor was an email announcement made by the Village Clerk. No mention of it appears on the Village's home page. No public hearings have been scheduled.

Up to this point, the East Parcel process has included significant public information and involvement. I, and many residents I speak to, sincerely appreciate that. That makes the current lack of public notice all the more disappointing.

The deadline for public comment must be extended to April 25. That will be two weeks after the next Board of Trustees meeting, where you can announce the existence of the FEIS. The Clerk must email an announcement and post it to the Village's home page.

Sincerely,

--Dan
