Welcome to the home page for my amateur astronomy services.
I'm a member of the Skokie Valley Astronomers club, which meets at the Ryerson Nature Center in Deerfield, IL on the second Friday of every month. All of our meetings are open to the public. You're invited!
The services available at this site are:
- Learn the Zodiac (Ecliptic Constellations)!
- A script and all the diagrams you'll need to present a talk about the zodiac and the ecliptic constellations. It can also be used for self-education.
- Solar System Ephemeris
- A list of solar system objects -- the Sun, Moon and planets -- and their positions as seen from a certain place at a certain time.
- Planetary & Lunar Elongation Calendar
- A chart showing the elongation (angular distance) of the Moon and planets from the Sun for each day of a year.
- An Astronomical Statement in The DaVinci Code
- An analysis of an astronomical statement in The DaVinci Code: "... Venus traced a perfect pentacle across the ecliptic sky every eight years."
- Star Magnitudes and Counting the Stars in the Sky
- Information about the brightest stars in the sky and how many stars there are in each brightness category.

- Information about the constellations.
