A Missive from the Guildmistress
April 2009

Unto the current members and gentles that would like to be members of the East Kingdom Brewers Guild, does your Guild Mistress send greetings.
I would like to thank all the brewers of the East and beyond that participated in the East Kingdom Brewing University that took place at the beginning of March. †This event took place at the Blue Mountain Lodge in the Canton of Northpass. The weather was beautiful and the classes were informative and plentiful.
At the event a panel was held for ranking evaluation. The following gentles had there potables evaluated, I have listed their recognized ranking: Lord William Graham (journeyman); Sylvia du Vey (novice); Elsbeth de Endward (brewer);Chiana (brewer); Baron Dorigen of Lewes (journeyman); Griffuth Abernethy (brewer); Oliver de Bainbridge (novice); Douglas (brewer); Phyllis (brewer). I apologize for any mis-spellings
I am currently working on several projects that will impact the guild.
One of which is that I would like to have a Fall Brew-U but I need your feed back on probable dates, as I will hold off until spring is necessary.
Also, I am working on official guideline for the guild. I realize while ours might be the oldest Guild in the Known world, it has very little structure. I am developing and adding to the ranking system. I will be posting the different ranks and what is expected to achieve the ranking.
I will also be working on expanding the information available on the website. If you have any suggestions let the web minister know, cc be on correspondences.
Save the date: please check the announcement page for the Masters Cup Tourney that I will be hosting at the 2009 John Barleycorn Event. I will have a link for that event posted as soon as it is available. Pass this information along to your local chapters.

In Service.
