Greetings to the brewers of the East Kingdom, and to gentles from beyond our boarders who might find this missive, from Baroness Mistress Suzanne Neüber de Londres Guild Master of the East Kingdom Brewers Guild.

I wish to announce that at the next annual John Barleycorn event, which will be held in the Canton of Northpass, part of the Crown Province of Ostgardr, in early September of 2008, the masters of the East Kingdom Brewers Guild will be hosting a ‘Guild Maters Cup’ competition. This will be division will not replace the normal brewing contest that occurs each year; which will allow brewers of all experience to participate. The ‘Cup’ offers an additional challenge to the brewers of the East. Below outlines how each division will be run and what is expected the entrants.

The ‘Guild Masters Cup’ is for period beverages only. Your entry must be fully documented. Documentation includes a photo copy of the original recipe, your redaction and process you use to create your beverage. While presentation is part of you score, please do not include your name on the label you bottles or on your documentation. Entries will be coded for annominity. You do not need to be Master to enter this division.

The Open Contest is for all beverages. Documentation is encouraged. Minimal documentation must be a list of ingredients. However, as this will be a blind test, your bottles do not need to be fancy. There will be three categories in this division. Meads/Wines, Beers/Ales, Cordials.

After the brewing contest there will be Guild Meeting. This will allow contestants to get feed back on their beverages and meet some of the masters from the guild
