POKIA - retro phone of the future

Pokias are headsets from classic phones adapted to plug into cell phones as hands free headsets. This guy makes them one at a time and sells them on ebay, but I think I'm going to make one for myself.

A mini-itx based computer shoehorned into an old Underwood typewriter. For good measure the original keycaps are glued to a new mini-keyboard and the OS adds sound effects of the original mechanism.

Vinyl Video

This is an art hack to make an "old-fashioned" (eg, sixties or seveties vintage) record player into a video player for specially produced records. Very cool.

Typewriter Keyboard

Album and explanation of how this guy turned an old Smith-Corona into a PS/2 computer keyboard. He doesn't explain how hard it is to use lacking things like control and backspace, though.
