Appeal of Lawsuit to Restore Alumni Petition Process to Yale Corporation to be Heard

Dear Yale supporter and friend,

I want to update you on the Lawsuit to force Yale to honor our Charter and Restore the Alumni Petition Process which existed for over 100 years before the Yale Corporation abolished the process in 2021. It is pending in the appellate courts of Connecticut. It is likely to be heard this summer in late May or June.

As one who has supported returning to active alumni involvement in choosing our alumni members of the Yale Corporation I wanted you to know the legal action is alive, well and moving forward. Don Glascoff and I are very optimistic as the two plaintiffs. Both of us are class of 1967.

We still need financial support for legal expenses and hope you will consider making a donation payable to Restore Yale Vote and mail it to me at

If you wish to discuss do not hesitate to call me at 865 712-5933. Given the current climate we think it would be prudent for Yale to reach out and be inclusive on Alumni involvement in choosing the six alumni trustees by returning the petition nominating process to all Yale alumni.

Sincerely yours
