Here is how to get Newton Package Installer 2.0 running under IBM Warp
OS/2.

First get the following archive file.

ftp://ftp.practinet.com/DRIVERS/PPIUTIL2.EXE

In this archive is a file named "SMSICOMM.DRV". Install this file
according to the readme instructions.

Change the dos setting named "COM_DIRECT_ACCESS" to "ON".

That's it. Could not get NBU utility to work at all, but at least this
is a start.

Hope Apple addresses this problem. I ran across this because I just
got a ppi modem.

Later,

Alan
