Here is the research we have for your husband's name.
You had asked us about "Takeda Shintaru" or "Takeda Yoshinaka." All of these elements are found in late-period Japan.
"Takeda" (pronounced "tah-kay-dah") is the name of a clan which was very powerful in the late Sengokujidai period (1450-1550). Clan names were not always used as family names, but we have an example of a person with the family name "Takeda" from 1200.
"Shintarou" (pronounced "sheen-ta-roe") is a masculine "yobina" or "call-name." It would have been the name by which a person was addressed in daily life. Note that it is spelled and pronounced differently from "Shintaru," which is probably a misspelling.
"Yoshinaka" is a nanori. Nanori were used only by members of the noble (kuge) and military (buke) classes. The buke class is roughly equivalent to the "lesser gentry" class to which SCA members are assumed to belong, so it would be appropriate for your persona to have a nanori. There is some disagreement on how nanori were used--they were used at most only by close family and friends, and may not have been used at all. However, they were recorded in census records and would form part of your formal (registered) name.
For SCA purposes, we recommend registering "Takeda Shintarou Yoshinaka." Your usual given name would be "Shintarou."
