You asked for information about the use of the name in period, specifically in England or in Rhodes in the Byzantine Empire. I'm sorry that it took so long to compile this report. Naming practices in these two places were quite different, and in both cultures, the structure of women's names changed over history. Since you didn't specify what period you want your name to fit, we'll only give you the information we have on . If you'd like help building a full name, please write again and let us know what culture and what period you want your name to fit. We found one certain instance of the name in period England in 1375, 1375 [1]. was definitely a very rare name in period England, but it was used. We didn't find the name in period Byzantium, but we think it is entirely possible that it was used there. is a standard Greek feminine form of and follows a well-documented pattern of name formation. Other examples include , , , , , , and [2]. Some of these names derive from Latin roots, but was borrowed into Latin fairly early as and appears in Latin records [3]. The only feminine form of that we found in period Greek records, though, is [2]. We hope this letter has been useful to you. If any part has been unclear or we may be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again. I was assisted in writing and researching this letter by Arval Benicoeur, Talan Gwynek, Juliana de Luna, Margaret MkAfee, Teceangl Bach, Blaise de Cormeilles, Aryanhwy merch Catmael, and Alan Fairfax.
