Greetings,

Here's the information we found about the name <Selina Grey>, which you
wanted to use as a name from the Eastern Mediterannean area or from
Scandinavia.

Unfortunately, we didn't find any evidence that either <Selina> or <Grey>
was used in these areas. <Selina> appears in England, but not in your
period--the earliest example we found dates to 1680. (1) <Grey> is also
English, and it appears in the latter part of our period (2).

We did find one possibility that might suit you. The English <Selina>
derives from the French name <Celine>, which was almost certainly used
before 1600. (3) There is also a French village called <Graye>. Thus,
<Celine de Graye> would be a plausible French name from the 1500s. (4)

Juliana de Luna, Adelaide de Beaumont, and Arval Benicoeur contributed
to this letter.

We hope this has been helpful, and that we can continue to assist you.

Your servant,
Alan Fairfax
