Here's the information we have on Breton surnames.
Unfortunately we have very little information on Breton surnames. The only source we have is called "5000 Patronymes Bretons Francises" by Marcel Divanach, which lists a number of "Breton" names with their "meanings" in French. Since the author provides no dates or sources, we have no idea whether or not his information is any good--many name books of this type are full of errors. About the best we can recommend is that you find a place in Brittany and use it in a name like "Catelin de <place>" There is a map of Brittany online at
